Walking with Steinbeck Cannery Row Walking Tour – April 11, 2026 – 10 AM
Beyond the gift shops and the modern facade of Cannery Row lies a world immortalized by John Steinbeck. On Saturday, April 11, you are invited to see it through his eyes.
The Steinbeck Experience is proud to host our flagship walking tour. This isn’t a traditional tourist excursion; it is a deep dive into the life, literature, and lasting lessons of Monterey’s most iconic voice.
A Love Letter to the Real Monterey
While the rest of the Row prepares for the midday brunch rush, join us for a meaningful journey through the streets that inspired Cannery Row and Sweet Thursday. We will bridge the gap between fiction and history, visiting the precise locations where Steinbeck’s Ed “Doc” Ricketts, “Mack and the Boys,” and other characters lived, worked, and dreamed.
